VEERAYATAN INTERNATIONAL UPDATES

Dear friends of Veerayatan:

Veerayatan International Inc. was founded twenty years ago, in 1995. Its mission is to inspire humankind to live a dignified life through value based education and healthcare to very challenged people.

On behalf of the 2015 – 2016 Executive Committee of Veerayatan International Inc., We would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to lead this organization and continue to carryout the vision of Veerayatan, an organization established to focus on Seva  (services), Shikhsha (education), and Sadhana (Spiritual Development). We promise to work diligently in order to continue the great humanitarian work Veerayatan is doing.

Last year, over 350 delegates from all over the world attended the Veerayatan Global Conference, in New Jersey, USA. The focus of this conference was the Tirthankar Mahavir Vidya Mandir Project. “Jahan Jinalay, vahan Vidyalay” is Acharyashri Chandanaji’s vision to build 200 schools for impoverished children at our Teerthdhams.  When completed, 200 schools with 500 children in each school will mean Veerayatan will be educating 100,000 children annually. So far, Veerayatan has successfully opened schools in Pavapuri and Lachhuar, Rudrani and Jhankhania  that serve over 2,500 children. Ground breaking and Bhoomi Poojan for new schools in Sanchor, (Rajasthan) and Palitana (Gujarat) has already taken place earlier this year.

“Give the Gift of Sight, the Day you Saw the Light” program supports the eye hospital in Veerayatan, Rajgir. Under this program, registered supporters donate $30 or more annually to support at least one eye surgery (Gift of Sight) on the supporters’ birthday (The Day you saw the Light). Under the leadership of Mr. Madhuker Mehta of Raleigh, NC, this program has raised over $175,000 and has supported over 7,500 eye operations. Click here to get details on how to join the program.

Veerayatan International is also supporting the Nepal Earthquake relief and rehabilitation project. You will be glad to know that Acharyashriji has led a delegation of Veerayatan sadhvijis, Doctors and volunteers to earthquake affected areas of Nepal, delivered 3 truck loads of relief supply and started a day camp for children. Acharyashriji is investigating possibility of building a school in Nepal as Veerayatan’s contribution to rehabilitation efforts in Nepal and committed to spend next Paryushan in Nepal.
